The Salton Sea: The Skeleton in California’s Closet

After last week’s video, I thought some information about this God awful Salton Sea would be interesting.

This place stinks.  I mean that literally.  I’ve been here and to nearby Slab City.  I wouldn’t go swimming in the Salton Sea if you paid me.  I wouldn’t want to come out smelling of rotten eggs, plus with all the bacteria in this glorified salt marsh can’t be healthy.

Salton City?  It’s practically a ghost town.  The whole area is an ecological disaster.  A miracle in the desert?  Try a nightmare.  If anyone wants to get a glimpse of what Hell is like, this is the place to go to.  120 degree days, no fresh water, abandoned homes and businesses, a foul smelling salt lake.  Yep, I’d call it Hell in the desert!
